Alpha Radon Reduction along with your builder work together to design your new home or commercial building to be radon resistant. We recommend four simple steps to detour radon from entering your home:
- Install clean gravel beneath the slab
- Polyethylene sheeting on top of gravel
- Insert PVC venting pipe into the gravel bed to continue through the interior of the building up through the roof
When a passive radon system is not enough to prevent radon from entering a house, we recommend that an inline fan be installed to pull the trapped radon gas from the underlying soil into the vent pipe that will discharge the radon outside of the house.
